How do I access the campground?

Jilla Campground is accessed via 152 Mountain Avenue, Yarramundi. From the entrance, campsites are reached via a dirt road approximately 500 metres long.

Four-wheel drive is recommended if you are towing a trailer or caravan. Otherwise, two-wheel drive vehicles are suitable in normal conditions.

Are there facilities at the campground?

Jilla Campground is a low-impact, nature-based campground. There is no power available. You will also need to bring your own drinking water.

Flushing toilets are provided and are centrally located within the campground. Campfires are permitted when weather and fire conditions allow, in accordance with local fire restrictions.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, pets are welcome at Jilla Campground. All pets must be kept on a leash and under control at all times to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests and wildlife.

Is the river suitable for swimming?

The Grose River is a beautiful, natural river with crystal-clear, pristine flowing water.

There are several deeper sections suitable for swimming, while much of the river is approximately half a metre deep, making it ideal for young children to play safely in shallow water.

Small kids’ kayaks are available for hire for a gold coin donation, with all proceeds donated to Beyond Blue
